[OBSOLETE] Configuring your truck for navigation and climate controls
#211
Thanks everyone for this! Did this today everything worked great. Right on the money.
I had a Chinese blue tooth ODB device I use with the torque app, I used that and it worked perfect, no issues.
I had to apply the latest Sync update before it would apply the nav files. Before I applied the Sync update kept giving me an error that one or more of my install files were incorrect. Once I downloaded and applied the latest Sync update the nav download installed no problems.
I added the seat buttons and climate also per the instructions. Not sure if I am going to keep that or not. Since I have the XLT 302a some of the climate buttons of course do not work. All the buttons under my panel work on the MFT. The fan control and the temperature **** do not, so you also can not set max AC. Most of the buttons that don't work are greyed out which is nice. Just the fan control and dual temperature +/- appear like they will work but don't. Easy enough to change back if I decide I don't like it.
Got my SD card ordered, excited for it to arrive and give the factory Nav a try.
Thanks again!

I was the guinea pig. I had clicked the "save all" button prior to disabling the double horn honk and named it "before double horn" and then again after the change as "after double horn." Now I went into the same module programming screen and chose "load all" and brought up my "before double horn" file. By doing that it changed the values on the screen but hadn't yet wrote the changes. You now have the choice of either clicking the "write" button next to the individual item you want to change or click "write all" at the bottom to write every change that was loaded from the file (which in my case was just the 1 change of the horn honk) Saving a file before or after any change and knowing the chronology of the changes seems the easiest way to revert back any step of the way

The "Restore All" button seems to work like this: say you've loaded up a file and then made multiple changes but now you regret it...clicking "restore all" will put all the values back as they were when you loaded that file and then you can click "write all" to revert all the changes. It's complicated to explain but I think that's how it works from playing around with it.

I believe that the A6 will also work fine, it will just be the previous version of the maps.
