Ahh, programming with phone = no go, PC needed, bt or wifi is ok

basic stuff to access like any obd.....
apple iphone = only wifi.....battery sucking pita
android = do want you want
..........and don't have to pay the apple tax for the usb hub(apple carplay reference)...if i won an iphone i would only accept the prize to sell it.

The driving requirement is not the Bluetooth feature. It's functionality in both can modes. The MX Bluetooth transmitter has the less common ability to function with both modes. With many units - especially the cheaper ones - you get one or the other and it restricts what you can access.

Guys, have a couple of questions for the 'experts'.

1. If I get this, will I be able to disable the daytime running lights (Canadian thing) so I can run the LED parking lights with the fogs?

2. The wife has a 2017 Escape without a remote starter. I was told its plug & play but I need to bring it to the dealer to 'activate' it. Would this work for that too?

3. What is the Ford enhanced add-on? Does that need to be purchased also?

Thanks in advance!

So will the wifi version posted above work just as well as the Bluetooth version? Any reason to get one version over the other? Thanks!

I've read reviews where the wifi version sucks - loses connectivity, etc - the one they recommend in the forscan thread is the bluetooth one - but I'm sure there are people who have it and like it or they wouldn't sell it...

Hmm, I just tried to order the Bluetooth version. It shows $66.97 after the discount code (no tax or shipping). What am I missing?

Looks like they took off the special - when I ordered it, it said 79.99 on special like the wifi one does...then the coupon code took it down to 54.99 or whatever it was...

Now it says 99.99...sorry dude maybe they didn't mean to discount it that much and pulled the other sale.
