Will the audio shop be able to activate the sub? Or does this kicker not need to be activated?
Get the other version, a ford parts guy sells them on here for 475.00 I believe! Banner Ford! It just has 1 wire harness, that connects to the oem sub connector behind the rear d.s. pillar. Its a Grey Conccetor, dealer will have to enable it, or you can do it via Forscan.

Theyre the exact same subs and everything, except the one Im talking about only has 1 harness, that plugs into the oem sub connector. Look in the Vendor Section, and youll see the Banner ford Kicker sub Thread there....

Here it is...

Those look identical....? Other than the price...

So they are not plug and play...they have to be "turned on". I wonder if my audio guys know that.

Theyre Identical, other than the one you posted, has a seperate harness for Power and Ground, and I dont believe the one you linked has to be enabled in Forscan or by dealer. It taps speaker wires for music signal. Then the other harness, has a Power and ground wire.

If you bought the version linked from stage 3, you wont need to enable anything for it to work!

The other version Plug N Play to a Exent, that it plugs only into the oem sub connector behind the d.s. rear c pillar, then the dealer or you can enable it in Forscan.

But, yes the Subs, Amps, and Boxs are Identical. Just how theyre wired, is different.
