No comparison when towing between the two

You conveniently left out this video..
As with all these video's, legitimate in your estimation or not.
Every time the Coyote is either a 1/2 second behind the eco or it is equal and in some.. bests it. Yet, in here the majority of owners describe the eco as so much more useable power around town..??
I know 90% of us don't pull a 9,000lb trailer around all day.
So will it ever be put to bed? Nope!

For MY driving style I wanted a truck that I would normally just drive to work, NOT tow.
I test drove all 3 engines and found the 5.0L to be too revvy. Some people like that I guess.
I wanted an engine that would give me the torquey feel at LOW revs (Like a V8 SHOULD be) Let me have the feels from a stop, to speed, and stay under 2k RPM. I'm not a 0-60 time freak, I just like being put into the back of my seat
The 3.5 EB did that the best of all 3 engines.

Well it seems the race was 10 miles above sea level (advantage EB) and the Coyote had 3.15 gears (disadvantage) .. that's pretty slick of you to use that video .. what i did find interesting was even though that's the slowest configuration of the Coyote it still beat the Ram pretty well

So today I "played" more with the truck. It is very different than my 3.5EB, but it is impressive in it's own right. The best seems to be when at speed (say 30+) and you punch the gas. It will put you back in the seat (especially in sport mode). The power is very different than the Eco with both shining is different situations.
It has been fun to play with. The dealer said mine will not be ready until tomorrow so I have more time with it. As of today, I agree with those that say "you really can't make a bad decision".
As a side note: Mine has a lot more options on it. I do miss most of those. Suggest to anyone to option their truck as high up as you can afford. The bells and whistles are quire nice. The one that hits me most is the long range gas tank. I am used to seeing 650+ miles to empty when full. It is strange to see 380+ with this. That could also be due to me constantly hitting the throttle and lowering the MPG
Enjoy.

Got to love these civil war threads. Dudes get all flustered about how one FORD engine is superior to another FORD engine. Missing the point that they are all made by Ford and they are ALL superior to the competition. The smaller Ford 5.0 V8 is able to beat all of it's larger displacement V8 competitors. Credit goes to the entire design of the truck and power train. Light weight body, advanced engines and transmission technology and even the differential (only Ford manufacturers their own rear diff so they are made specifically to work with Ford power trains) all work together to give Ford trucks superior performance. All of Ford's engines are smaller than their competitors yet they all deliver superior performance; the winners are Ford engineering and owners.
However there are some Ford owners that will swear that the Ford 5.0 V8 is not as good as even the less powerful Vortec 5.3 just to make the point that Ford should be turbo engines only. Sad.

What I gather is the 5.0 guys require perfect conditions (my last F150 was the 5.0, it was a great motor)
-sea level
-3.73s
-Sport mode
Ecoboost is like the honey badger, it doesn't give a ****. sea level, mt everest, low gear, tall gear, sport mode, snow mode, towing... whatever.....it just rips ***.
