Water is going to condense on that plastic.
Especially when the window is down post rainfall..
Butyl is to contain water and hold the plastic..
I'm just Not sure what amount of condensation or water should be acceptable.. I would sure be alarmed if I saw that amount water after a rainfall, but for all I know that's within spec given relative humidity levels and wether the AC was running or not..

So just an update on this... Since my last post, the following occurred:

-Water intrusion in the same door again
-New water intrusion in the other rear door
-Could never get the alignment correct
-Never got rid of the vibrations in the steering wheel and cabin
-Transmission wonky from 1-2 and slow to shift down
-Driver door rattle that couldn't be fixed
-The horrible body alignment was never able to be fixed
-Motor hesitation several times at a stop

The icing on the cake... Transmission would kick out of gear at a stop from time to time and not go.

I tried to get the dealership to fix these, each time they said it was either "normal" or "couldn't find the issue".

I've been a Ford guy for a long time but the last few vehicles from them have been poorly built or designed. I'm done with them. Truck was traded in this afternoon for another brand of vehicle. If this is "Built Ford Tough", then they need to be called out on false advertising.

Good luck with those who are having similar issues with theirs.

Per the Virginia Lemon Law:

To be a lemon, your vehicle must meet one of the following qualifications:

Have unsuccessfully undergone 3 attempts at repair.
Had 1 attempt at repair of a serious safety defect.
Have been out of service for at least 30 days.

None of those qualify since there was no attempt at repairs, as they couldn't acknowledge there's a problem to begin with, since it coincidentally never happens when they have the truck.

Tell them to keep the truck and drive it till it happens to them. Then, 30 days later, you are golden.

What did you buy? Just curious. I don’t blame you for getting rid of it. Most of the issues were minor but there were several. The truck kicking out of gear is kind of a big deal.

Should've listened to this suggestion back in August...

Good choice, you can tell by your Fathers experience they never have issues with any of their vehicles.

Congrats. I already feel sorry for the dealer you bought your new vehicle from. There are people out there that you will never make happy and reading your posts, you're one of them. Just my opinion.. you know, the one I'm entitled to. Whether you or anyone else agrees doesn't matter to me. So...

Sometimes "brands" that lose business are happy. This is most likely one of them.
