LOL...It's a good change of pace from the daily 5.0 vs Ecoboost debates.

Not if you are paying more for it to begin with. Electronic devices don't appreciate in value.

For me - three things pushed me the androids haven't had for at least a year, some models 2 years (e.g. retina unlock vs. facial recognition)

2. Family Sharing/iTunes - this is so remarkably sh**y I can't believe anyone tolerates it. I routinely have issues with my family account, sharing, backups, etc.

3. Price - I saw the Samsung tablet (mini comparable) at Best Buy for $129. Does EVERYTHING the iPad does and more.

I'm looking forward to my text to sync working better......next choice:

1. Samsung Galaxy Note8 or
2. Pixel 2 XL ?

thanks for reading the rant.
I’ve been testing a Note 8 and an iPhone 8 Plus

if you own more apple products like laptops, desktops iPads and iPhones, then it makes sense. I have MacPros and I do all my playlists and iTunes purchase on it and it all works perfect.

I have no issues with sync running with CarPlay at all :P that was 2.2/2.3 and 3.0 but you’re don’t get a lot with car play, just an easier way to do maps and music imo. Maps is ok it works and does what I want

Note 8, managing music I hate, Apple I buy a song it’s there on everything, pics are everywhere, Samsung more setting up and most are third party. Where the droid devices wins is google maps and waze. Otherwise I’ll stick to my Apple. So you need to pick what’s most important to you

Bit of a fail, Lol, since it reads NEEEEEE-RDS!!! But a hilarious post nonetheless.

Emphasis is on the letter E, as if he was yelling NEEDS, with an R inserted. In the movie, the emphasis is on the RDS consonants, not on the vowel E.

So it should read "NERRRRRRDS!!!", or something to that effect.

Back to the phone integration with our F150's, you guys reminded me that I have a bin full of old cell phones and that I can simply use my old HTC One S (one of my favorite phones) with its Google maps in my rig. I'll just throw the HTC and its charger in my console bin and when I need it, it will be there.

Crappy Apple mapping/Car Play problem solved.

And yes I won't be able to get calls through the F150, no iTunes, text messages, etc, but I never use any of that while I'm driving so it really is no loss.

Yeah me.

Forgive my ignorance, but you can't connect them both at the same time right?

And I seem to recall that my iPhone 7 wasn't connecting to my F150 w/Sync 3 unless I plugged it into the USB port, but you're saying you connect your iPhone through Bluetooth?

you can USB both I did, disable car play but in my case I left both enabled and I just connected iPhone then android and android worked, remember these are just overlays and basically an app so the last one connected takes priority
