God Bless. I am a liver transplant recipient - 3/25 of this year will be 8yrs. What a wonderful gift we were given, live life to the fullest !

Amazing story.

I had an uncle years ago who received a heart transplant.

I've been on the organ donors list ever since.

You're extremely blessed to have such a selfless and caring person in your life like your niece.

We could all learn a thing or two from someone with such a big heart.

Yeah, dialysis is no where near what a 1/4 functioning kidney can do, it essentially cleans out enough chemicals, and removes fluid to keep you alive (and well in many cases too!). So many side effects can occur, fluid intake is restricted (many patients on dialysis do not even produce urine).
