Default Buying a Used 2016 EB Truck. What to look for?

I made an earlier thread regarding used pricing. After going back and fourth all day it's looking like I'm leaning towards a used 2016 with low miles.

I have been browsing the forum all day and saw some mentions of "bad batches" to keep an eye out for among other things.

What are some things to consider when buying a used truck? Specifically a 2016 Sport Edition? Also does anyone know what kind of warranty I can expect to land? I'm hoping to have a new truck within the next 2 weeks if all goes as planned.

Thanks!

Bad batches...

If you're referring to the 2.7L engine issue, those engines were narrowed down to a very specific build date range and not all engines had the issue.

What other issues have you read about that have you concerned?

If the mileage is under 36k you can get an extended warranty online much cheaper than through the dealer. A used vehicle with a well documented maintenance history goes along way with me. With an EB I would be looking for 5k oil changes.

I'm not referencing anything specific TM except the build dates/range to keep an eye out for. Also wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to be mindful of!

If it has Sync 3 and you have an iPhone you will want a new USB Hub that supports the iPhone. Also make sure all modules are up to date also the Sync.

Here's a copy of the TSB. Please keep in mind even if the vehicle was built within this date range doesn't mean the vehicle has this issue

What to look for? a 2014.

Had one, it was fun to drive, rode nice, towed nice, drove nice, and was fast.

2016 I have now I regret getting. Tows poorly, handles sloppily, and can't decide which side of the lane it wants to be in.

My dad has a 2014 and my 2015 handles, steers, and just overall feels much nicer.....

If you are a Costco member you might want to check out their new vehicle buying program. You might find pricing closer to used vs new than you think.
