Default No GPS logo while driving

Anyone ran into this issue?

I got this little logo while driving up/down I5 in California and Oregon. I first noticed it in California that was actually in an area that was flat/wide with no trees and only rolling hills in the distance.

Had satellite radio going so I had a clear path to the sky to at least get those satellites.

The map navigation still worked.. showed me chugging along the map just fine. Just had that odd logo..

Some 2016-2017 vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may experience the following concerns; the GPS not tracking the vehicle position correctly, the vehicle location arrow icon spinning in circles on the navigation screen or a spinning compass on non-navigation vehicles. Perform the following procedure to resolve. Enter BezelDiagnostics per Work Shop Manual (WSM) Section 415-00. Select Testing Settings from the menu. Scroll down and press Clear DR calib. Perform a drive test for approximately 10 minutes, include at least four right turns and four left turns with a vehicle speed of at least 25 MPH. Confirm that GPS position for Navigation or the Compass for non-navigation vehicles is functioning properly. Engineering is aware of this concern

My Sync3 F150 & Sync2 Flex have done it rarely. Typically goes away with the next restart.
Seemed to track accurately, never gave it too much thought.

I had the same experience last Sunday @ 5 pm eastern but I thought it was because I had a decent amount of ice covering the roof and shark fin.

Interesting, I have not see this with our F-150, but I remember the same thing happening with the GPS signal going whacky in about the same area (I5, Oregon/Cali border area) on our 2011 Saab Aero ... according to the display, we were way off road!!

Interesting. The first time I noticed it was around same area. That flat stretch portion between Weed, CA and Hornbrook, CA (OR/CA border)

A few other areas here and there as well.. whenever I cared to even look at the screen.

Not same vehicle but I also noticed on my 2015 Explorer that the navigation in the gauge cluster never matched the 8" navigation/stereo screen. Distance/time was always off a few miles.

Check GPS.GOV, too. It's possible you were driving through an area where GPS interference testing was being conducted. I've seen several FAA NOTAM's related to GPS interference testing in California. Some of the testing areas are quite large.
