Hopefully I never have a problem, if I do I'm going back to the dealership I purchased from. Not to far from my house.

It's going to get even more complicated as other manufacturers get their aluminum bodies online.
Yes I know. The shop I was referring to was a ford shop. I worked for Ford for 6 years in their body shops. I was there for the installation of of the aluminum equipment. All the training and everything. I quit in December 2014, about 9 months ago.

Yes the costs to repair the aluminum is high. Any at fault accident will make premiums go,up more than a regular vehicle....

You're not that far from me and you're up near where my grandparents live. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere so a lot of things are not going to be local to you. However, you are currently about ~ 50 - 80 miles from several Ford F-150 Aluminum Repair facilities.

1) All American Ford of Kingston - Kingston, NY - 62 miles away

2) Wallkill Body Shop & Glass Inc - Walkill, NY - 52 miles away

3) Barber Ford - Exeter, PA - 72 miles away

3) Rockland County Auto Body - Haverstraw, NY - 81 miles away

More at this site:

Edit:
*There may be more than what is listed, but this is what is on the Ford site under F-150 Aluminum Repair.

Exactly. He is in a rural area but is 50 - 100 miles from about 10 places that do aluminum F-150 repair. If he drives to Oneonta, Kingston, Middletown he is going to be driving this far anyway. Go ahead and buy the F-150.

09-14's have had aluminum hoods since production began, they've never fixed a hood on one of those?

It's evolution. Once more manufacturer's make this transition, then repairs will become more common.
