Do you have a lien on the 15? Would this trade put you into the new truck with negative equity? Would you pay outright for the new truck, or finance? If financed, is there interest, and if so, at what APR? These are the questions I would ask myself.... if the numbers work out for you, do what makes you happy!

Me personally, I would not get a raptor because I have yet to see one I like. Performance wise they are good, but I just don't like the appearance. Again, we do what makes us happy.

Good luck.

15' is paid for, it's a Raptor, in my area, there is no negative equity on them, none are selling much below sticker. No clue what my CU rates are, I do know my CS is 800+.

I see a -$0- loss on resale in 2 years, wifey will drive it and it will have 7-9k on it.

The only downside, I dug into the options, and it has no tailgate step, not the end of the world, but will make things a pain, and maybe resale a little harder.

Also have to reme3the Raptor will not get 24 mpg hiway like the F-150's do. Most people buy trucks for the low gas consumption. 🤪

I'm just considering the wisdom of giving your wife a Raptor!

Honestly, if I were you I would order one of the Supercharged 700 hp F-150's from Beechmont Ford out of Ohio. There selling them for 40k with a warranty. Then I would drop another 10k into upgraded suspension and things and have something way better than a Raptor for 20k less. Plus Beechmont can do all of the build. If you are having to finance the this is the way to go, just in my opinion. I've really been thinking of getting one for myself.

If you get her a Raptor she won't have to worry about the potholes cause she won't know she hit one in the Raptor!. If it is what you want, go for it.

they are selling regular cab XL's for 40k .. if you want a SuperCrew you are going to pay upwards of 70k - 80k for one

It's '15, '18 etc. Not 15' unless you're talking about length and your truck is about 4 feet shorter than normal If it's paid for, go for it man! Why not! Tailgate step is nothing.. one less thing to rattle back there.

Actually a bit pointless here. The raptor will have a much higher resale value than a modified and lower trim vehicle. Not a wise choice if keeping for two years. If you did this and were going to drive it into the ground then do what makes you happy.

Theres so much wrong here lol
1. The Beechmont truck is a regular cab which for 95% of the buyers will not work.
2. Its also a base model so a buyer coming from a Lariat whos looking for a Raptor is going to be severely let down with the interior
3. The 10k you drop into the suspension will be worth next to nothing when time goes to sell and this is just my opinion but a reg cab would look really odd lifted(assuming you're talking about lifting it since this is about a potential Raptor buyer and not a buyer looking for an ultimate street race truck lol)
And most importantly that beechmont f150 wont look anywhere near as bad *** as the Raptor. Lets face it, most of the buyers are buying these for the look. Every time i see a new raptor i always stare because its such a beautiful truck.

The opposite would be the Porsche 911- tame compared to the Lambo, but only needs mild updates over the years and holds its value much, much better.

BUT... The Raptor is S-E-X-Y!
Did you just compare a raptor to a countach?!?!?! I got to agree the countach is hideous now but it didnt happen over night thats for sure, i would be willing to bet my truck is was still a sexy car 10-20 years after it debuted. The raptor is still a clean looking truck imo and will still be a sexy *** truck 10 years from now
