When I hit 200K, which is usually 6-ish years. I replaced my '09 with a '16.

If I like it, it will stay until almost dead, if I don't it will get traded soon:

65 step side - 5 years
97 XL - 1 year
98 XLT-owned 18 years
06 FX4-owned 9 years 6 months
15 XLt - owned two years to the date
17 Platinum - too early to tell but I'm thinking its a keeper

Usually 3 to 4 years to avoid stuff starting to rust out around here. Don't like truck payments so I trade it and pay cash on the rest. Might keep this 2017 longer assuming the aluminum panels and rust proofing does it's job.

I usually run them into the ground. When it starts with the big repairs it's gone.

Yup, that's kind of what I shoot for.

Got 16-1/2 years out of my old Dodge Dakota. Hoping to get 15-20 years out of this truck. I don’t put a ton of miles on, maybe 8K-10K per year.

I drive about 30k miles a year. Traded my '14 in with 35k on the clock and just over a year to get the new body style and panoramic moonroof the '16 has. Trade value was a few grand more than what I owed.

Right now I'm at 45k miles on the '16 and getting a new one hasn't entered my mind. There is nothing about my truck I'd change (major perk to ordering versus buying a truck off the lot). Trade value again is more than what I owe - but can't see trading her in to get essentially the same truck again.

Before my 16 KR, Last new vehicle I purchased for myself was a 94 Isuzu Rodeo. Sold it in 06. I normally buy used. Sold my 01 Sport Trac to get the KR. Now, just bought a 17 Escape Titanium for my wife, picking up on Wednesday
