Default New truck first oil change?

Hi guys new to the ford scene. I just purchased a 2017 f150 king ranch with the 3.5 ecoboost. My understanding is that the factory oil is a synthetic blend. My question is when should I don my first oil change and also how soon can I change to full synthetic? Thanks

Oil change intervals are VERY opinionated. You're gonna get lots of answers.

- At 1K then every 5K
- Every 5K
- Every 7K
- Every 10K
- When the truck reminds me

I went full synthetic since first change. Pennzoil Platinum.

I too went full synthetic on the first change at 3K. I am about as old school as you can get; even though the truck will tell me I still change the oil every 3K. Old habits are hard to break. The again, I also have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma with right at 268K miles and I would still drive it across country today. I take care of my toys (no pun intended).

All three of our trucks (wife's is also a Toyota; 2008 Tacoma Pre-Runner) and all get changed at 3K and full synthetic.
