I didnt find that the morimotos did much on my 2014 either. They have a broader beam but its barely noticable with the headlights on.

The weird thing is I bought them because I put the toyota versions of the Morimoto XBLeds into the ARB Bullbar on my Liberty and they are awesome. They work like a low beam. I thought doing the ones in the F150 would yield similar results and they really didnt.

These are the two trucks I'm looking at basically the same trucks in my opinion just different motors.

Drive both and if one stands out buy that. Otherwise, between the two, buy whatever is cheaper I guess which the 3.5 is by a healthy margin.

Just to be fair; regarding the Morimotos:
Morimoto VS Stock Fog
Lens > plastic - plastic
Housing> AL - plastic
Bulb> LED - Halogen
specs> IP7 - zip

My point is, as far as build quality, the Morimotos are definitely superior to the stocks, but light output remains feeble.
Of course the Morimotos maintain the stock look and are plug and play, which for many is also more important than lumen output.

Does anyone else think this is really high $? There're guys buying BRAND NEW XLTs in that range.

Year: 2015Make: Ford
Model: F-150Trim: XLT SuperCrew 5.5-ft. Bed 4WD
Mileage: 35,317Trans: Automatic
Vin: 1FTEW1EF1FFB43861Stock #: 3861
Engine: 5.0L V8Interior: Cloth
Color: BlackDrive Train: 4WD
Type: TruckState: NY

The other is a Eco something ... Which? 2.7 or 3.5? It's at a Chevy dealer, EHHH! NO WAY I'd even LOOK at that truck. Smells of buyers remorse.

First, I'd START at a Ford Dealer. START with new trucks and leftovers, but consider used. Browse this forum for what guys pay and LEARN. Point of fact, guys are paying $35K for slightly used Lariats, not XLTs.
Someone please chime in and tell him if I'm totally wrong.

Second, I wouldn't even look at an eco unless I knew 100% how it was treated and maintained. Again, I'd look "Ford Certified" or whatever they call it.

I appreciate all the input and well written posts by the way by everyone. I agree it's just hard to find the package I want, I'm going to look at a few dealerships today and see what they can do. I like a lot of the trucks I see but the center gauge cluster screens are terrible and I refuse to get one that looks like an old digital clock.

I completely agree with you honestly that's why I like getting opinions from everyone. I did look at the window sticker and with all the options the truck msrps at 60k it was a Canadian truck and they switched all the gauges to American and I also had my cousin log into Ford service website and look at the history of the trucks and nothing really stands out that is in Ford's system with either truck as bad.
