I too say the Defenders. Quite, smooth & long life.

I had LTX M/S on my 2006 Ridgeline and drove through the 36" storm we had a few years ago... no problems until I got to my street... I got stuck, dug put and parked 1/2 block from my house. I was annoyed until my neighbor came home with his Raptor... and he got stuck about 2 houses further then I got.

Likely get some snubbed noses on this, but the KO2's might be what you're looking for. I don't think they're the cure all for heavy snow, but in the conditions you describe, they should be pretty good. Mine wore nicely, not much noise I didn't think. I had the 315/70/17 on Raptor wheels, and with a sidewall that big, they rode very nicely, although going into corners with that big sidewall, they felt somewhat mushy, with 44 psi in them, but I got used to them.
I've had Michelins in the past, LTX, IIRC, and they performed just as well as the BFG's, maybe a little better.

I put Michelin Defenders on my 2015. Soon as these junk hankook tires wear down on my 2017 I'll put Michelin Defenders on it as well.

KO2's.....if you want a hint of aggressive looks, and functionality, go with them. They look great on the trucks, are quiet on the road, great wear life, and also good for that odd dusting of snow you may encounter.

I second this. Been using BF's my whole life. You get a lot of miles out of them.

I had factory Michelins on my '12. They had 61,000 miles on them when the truck was totaled, and they still had several thousand more miles of tread on them at the time. They were pretty good for winter driving, too. Truck was 2wd, and I never got stuck. Wish I could remember what series they were.

If you want a rougher ride and lower MPG's go with the LT's. Otherwise, a P rated tire is plenty for anything you can put in your truck.

I can't believe your not recommending the Hankook's.

I understand if I were to pull a travel trailer or something I should put LTs on my truck as I'd more then likely be at max payload on the truck due to a travel trailor's heavy hitch weight.

My cargo trailer has about 320 pounds on the hitch - plenty of room to spare that's why I'm considering the 'P' rated tires again. I just don't want to make a mistake.
