Definitely part of the issue for sure.

I really like the look of more tire/less wheel. That is why I'm thinking of going from 20" to 18" on mine.

Which back spacing did you go with on the Mavericks?

Not sure. They're perfectly flush with the factory sport flares, so perfect for me, but i'll go dig up the specs tomorrow.

Had these balanced normally the first time and they couldn't get them to balance, quote unbalanced at highway speeds, so I had them road forced, they couldn't get them to balance either. Still a vibration. Not happy...

Definitely a nice looking truck. I'm running the same size only Michelin on an 18x9 MB TKO wheel with a 25 offset. Mine's only 2WD so no need for the aggressive tread pattern.

Been a bad year for fires. My son-in-law is a firefighter. His battalion has been off assisting fires elsewhere. He's been TDY most of the summer in southern and SE Arizona.

I went 17x9" wheels and p285/70r17 Falkens. All good so far. Haven't had them in any mud, but the drive great in the rain and seem to hold up on dusty rocky forest service roads. Not sure where you are in Canada, but we've been getting smoke from the fires in BC for over a week now here in Puget Sound.

I just put the same size KO2 on mine. Speedometer is off 3.4% from stock. I have 3.55 gears and my mileage dropped about 1.5 MPG when adjusted for larger tire size.

I'm about 400 miles north of the border.
