Thanks for all the responses...been a good sounding board. I found a local dealer that has one that i like...yea it has even more stuff on it, but brand new and never titled before. This one has a window sticker of 63K and with dealer incentives they list it on the web at 56K. that being said I think I can get them do the point where it is 20% off the MSRP....never hurts...one thing saw on this one is the extended fuel tank...i am thinking that since we travel a lot (we will be using this vehicle for some of that..tailgating etc) this may be a good option...thoughts??

also this one is the v8 and not the v6 twin turbo....suggestions??

The v6 vs. v8 thing is going to stir the hornets nest a bit, but I wouldn't get one without the extended tank. That's a must have feature from what I understand.

Either of the engines is going to give you Ford reliability, which means it should start most of the time. Do a search and you'll find a ton of information on v6 vs. v8 opinions.

If you tow over 5k regularly or spend a lot of time in the mountains get the eco, if not the v8 will be adequate

A ballpark figure used is 1% for every 1000 miles. That assumes a vehicle lasts 100,000 miles and all miles have the same value. Some would value earlier miles as more valuable especially with warranty. YMMV

So anyway, 13,000 miles is 13% of say 60000 =$7800 of diminished value due to mileage only. Plus you can get 5k to 10k off new MSRP now anyway.

I suggest you read the extensive discussions on the forum about the Ecoboost engines vs. the V8. No new insights will be gained from rehashing this very old discussion.

There's a reason it's one of the oldest & most discussed topics on any automotive forum...It's the heart and soul of the vehicle.

IMO, it's one of the most important decisions when researching a vehicle.

I'll be looking for some of those threads, because I'm also researching before purchasing.
