Hey guys/Gals I am a new member and a new F150 owner, not new to Ford it is all I have owned for the last 45 years. I am trying to install a "under tail gate LED strip" and was planning on hard wiring it to the factory tail lights as I have been told that hard wiring to the tow assembly throws the computer screen in the cab out of wack, it makes it think there is a trailer attached.

The problem I ran into is that my Lariat comes with the BLIS taillights and the wiring harness is very complicated, my strip light comes with the basic 4 wire connection plus the additional wire for Reverse. Has any one done this connection, and if so can you share which of the 12 wires on the Tail Light harness are for what? I do not want to splice into the wrong ones and damage my BLIS connection.
