Did you get this done? Im curious on the box dimensions! Seems to be impossible to find dimensions on here, especially with the seat being able to fold up and down with ease.

I finished it up this weekend. Ton of work! I solder all the connections and the ends of all wires to stop fraying. Sounds great! I switched to a slim pioneer sub that is sounding better and better as it breaks in. I am able to fold the seat up with this box. I will post final size of the box tonight I had to trim it a little to fit.

Is that a 10" sub? It looks like an 8".

Great work by the way.

For those that may not have the time or tools, Pioneer makes a similar box for their shallow mount 10 sub, which is what I used. However, I doubt it is of the same quality as the OP's and recessing the sub would like the OP did would probably get me the 3/8 inch I need so the seat back would not touch the ring around the sub when the seat is folded up, I might pull mine the summer and make that mod to the box if the box has a little mounting depth to spare.

It's a 10". Other 10" ones I considered were. Dayton audio 10" shallow (back order). Earthquake 10" shallow, and a high end one that was 400 to 600 aurum cantus shallow. This one was under $100 and the ratings seemed good. It is not as good build quality as the Polk but sounds good so far.

I agree it would be so much easier to get the box and driver together. It took a ton of time to make this. I make speakers as a hobby so I have done this before. I have some good tips I will post tonight on it.

The ends of this seat support were rubbing on the box. I filed them down a little and cut a relief area in the front of the box.

I added 1/8 " riser to the seat striker plate . Did not do this to the latch on rear of truck. I wonder if it would help get more clearance?

Seat folded up. The back of the seat is on the woofer trim ring. Not much wiggle room!

I had planned to do a spacer/riser on the the striker plate and latch as well to gain some additional clearance....you think 1/4" plate on both would work after installing the 1/8"?
