Default Issues

So far in my F-150 VA 2018 I have had an oil consumption issue at 10,000 miles

the seat rails on the drivers side seat broke

the rear seat bench rattles

the tailgate has bed liner sprayed inside of it so you can't push out dent,

my V8 also on cold starts misses every time I started no codes just misses

my transmission is clunky when slowing to a turn or stop. I've had it in the dealership twice to reset reset the learn mode.

I already broke the handle off the real rear tailgate because it's plastic and the rear tail lights are in front of the bed liner so loading things in and out of the truck you'll chip the corners of your tail lights if you're not careful.

compared to my 2011 F150 it's horrible on snow the worst I've ever seen or driven

for those of you interested in getting into the larger portion of the crew cab back seat slightly lift up the seated area which raises the back reach your finger into the back there's a hinge pin pull up in the seat of flip-down accessing more space. This whole area rattles in my truck.

Driving down the highway my hood ripples in the Wind it's so thin.

there's a hidden compartment if you have a shifter on the tree down in the larger Square console area next to your knee good place to hide your phone and wallet

I'm having the Frozen door handle recalled on to my truck due to living in Wisconsin.

this is by far the worst truck I've ever owned in the 11 trucks I've owned as the grandson of a former Ford dealership.

the seats aren't even cloth they're plastic

Yup. Same noise. I was told that is normal. I see that to be superficial compared to other issues with my particular f150.
thank you for sharing the videos

The transmission clunking is wild. It has gotten better now at 10,000 miles but it's not a fixable issue.

How and the F_ck does anyone buy a truck and complain the seats are plastic and not cloth? Hello did you drive and look at this truck or did your wife pick it out for you? Hopefully your experiences gets better but somehow I think it is going downhill from here

I also have a Jeep Wrangler so i'm used to rattles and leaks but at least the carpets are easy to pull out and throw in the dryer, the Ford....not so much

Default Oil 2018

I have always checked oil with a cold engine in the 11 trucks I've owned . Can somebody confirm how oil is checked the dealership tells me that you cannot check your oil with a cold engine.

I have had to put a full quart of oil in my brand new F-150 V8. They put 8.8 quarts of oil we just under half way between the hash marks on the dipstick.

I'm currently in a oil consumption test with the dealership and we seem to disagree on when you check oil.

4.0s were bulletproof, the 3.6 is alright, the oil cooler housing and rear main seal were replaced at 40k miles, now at 53k with no other issues

the tailgate has bed liner sprayed inside of it so you can't push out dent, - how is this reflective of the truck?

my V8 also on cold starts misses every time I started no codes just misses - warranty speak to your dealer

my transmission is clunky when slowing to a turn or stop. I've had it in the dealership twice to reset reset the learn mode. - is it possibly how you're driving it?

compared to my 2011 F150 it's horrible on snow the worst I've ever seen or driven - so put some snow tires on it! Don't blame the truck!!!

for those of you interested in getting into the larger portion of the crew cab back seat slightly lift up the seated area which raises the back reach your finger into the back there's a hinge pin pull up in the seat of flip-down accessing more space. This whole area rattles in my truck.

I'm having the Frozen door handle recalled on to my truck due to living in Wisconsin. I live in great white North - much colder than Wisconsin and my doors are fine.

this is by far the worst truck I've ever owned in the 11 trucks I've owned as the grandson of a former Ford dealership.

the seats aren't even cloth they're plastic you should have seen this before you bought! ???
Some of your problems are easy fixes. Not the fault of the truck.
I am not the grandson of a Ford dealership and my new 2018 is pretty good! Go figure!
