Default New exhaust exiting under rear bumper?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I'm looking at changing the stock muffler to a Magnaflow 12278 and then having the new exhaust run down the sides of the truck and want them to exit out under the rear bumper thru some nice rectangular exhaust tips.

The shop is worried that the factory hitch will be in the way, which I don't see myself. The shop is suggesting having the exhaust exit out the side either in front or behind the wheel wells.

Has anyone else tried exiting under the rear bumper? Any problems? Is the pipe visible before it gets to the tip?
Do you have pictures of the set up?
Any experience with the Magnaflow 12278 muffler? No droning on the highway?

My truck is a 2015 XLT Screw with the FX4 package.

I did a Magnaflow 19080 for some similar reasons. I, too, would have preferred dual exit under the bumper, but I was told the Magnaflow kits that exited on both sides of the vehicle required removing the spare tire (and at the time they all were behind the rear tire anyway).

I did see someone on here linked a kit like what you're referring to but it wasn't a Magnaflow. If I remember right it was the Flowmaster Outlaw series.

I'm not affiliated with this business in any way and live 3 hours from Dallas but a custom exhaust exiting out the rear is possible. Good luck with your search.

Here's the install sheet PDF for our Part Number 19203 cat-back, which gives a decent idea of some of the clearances and issues you face. That part is a dual-rear exit with the tips pointed out at the rear corners, but it sounds like you might be able to make a similar custom setup.

Looks like you swap part #5 and #6 for a rear exit?

Agree, Borla will do it for you. No screwing around, you'll keep your spare where it belongs. Cost more than most, but the olde saying, you get what you pay for is true in this case.
Oh, I've had two of their systems, ZERO drone, and zero complaints.
