Sorry, this might be my fault. When you install the OBD2 for AA there is another step in Android Auto that I didn't put in my notes. I've taken the below from the XDA site.
Instructions on how to use:
Instructions on how to use:
- Install OBD2 for AA
- Open the app and hopefully it will be quite self explanatory on how to set it up (choose colors, set gauge number, etc)
- Open Android Auto (on the phone, not plugged into the vehicle), go to About, if you are not a developer yet, tap the "About Android Auto" header 10 times till you see a toast message saying you're a developer. From the right top corner select developer options, scroll down and make sure you check "Unknown sources" - This step is not alway required only if app doesn't show up on car screen
- Connect your phone to the car/headunit/hur
- Select the last tab on the right, by pressing it again you should see an app selector and choose OBD2AA
- Give it a bit of time to start pulling the data from Torque.
I am getting there one step at a time.

Now all you need to do is with the phone unplugged launch the OBD2 for AA and then play with the different settings. You can change the number of gauges, the color of the needles, and all sorts of things. Then at the bottom you'll have a plus sign near the gauges. Click on the underscore area next to the PID to choose the different types of gauges. You'll have to play around with them as some will work and some won't.

Yup, that's it!

There were six gauges already set up when I opened torque. They are on the 3rd page, I believe. When driving and viewing these on my Galaxy 8 I see normal working gauges.
When I use AA via Sync3 I see what I described in my previous post. Not sure why that is happening. I will try and get a picture and post it later.
I can only assume that the 6 non working gauges in AA are the same gauges I see working on the Galaxy.
I have also set up a couple of other gauges on the 2nd page, but I can not move the page on AA to see what those are doing.
There always seems to be a problem child, I guess it's my turn.

I might have not been descriptive enough.

I guess I missed the part about the OBD2AA app. I just thought it was an extension of Torque. Funny thing is I payed and downloaded the app but it is not showing on my phone screen. Maybe something went wrong with the install. hmmm.

It does make perfect sense and I have been opening Torque and trying to set up the gauges there.

So I used the search function and found a way into the app. Now I see the setup screen.
Weird that there are no app icons showing for these two.
As I said - one step at a time. I'll probably be back.
Set up one gauge and looked at the preview on the phone and now see the other five gauges look like what I was seeing on AA yesterday. I am in the right place.

The AA app doesn't even show on my screen. I have two screens of apps, shouldn't be to hard to find.

Sounds like you are looking for the app on your home screens, you should have way more than 2 screens of apps. Try swiping from the bottom of the screen upward from one of those two screens and maybe you will find you have 4+ screens of apps. This is the screen that will show all of your apps.
Two questions:
Can you change C to F?
Do you allow permissions for speed cameras? Seems kind of risky.

I turned off the speed cameras as it was annoying since i already run Waze all the time.
