Default New app for Android Auto users..Gauges!

Found the app "OBD2 for AA" on xda developers a couple days ago.
Customizable gauges, backgrounds, variable number of gauges etc

Does require the OBD2 dongle we use with forscan.
Also requires Torque Pro, if you don't know about this app you should!

Here is a pic of me cramming as many gauges as I could in while setting them up on the phone screen

This is really cool, thanks for sharing his. I do use AA and have Torque Pro. The only issue I have is that Torque Pro and/or my MX OBDLink were causing my truck to randomly throw the wrench. I know of another member who was having the same issue. Maybe I'll try to give it another shot and see if it's still causing issues. I'd love to be able to gave this info via AA.

I had the same issue with Torque Pro throwing a wrench and haven't used it since. I wasn't sure if it was because it was possibly still connected to forscan because I went for a drive after making some changes and then wanted to test the guages on Forscan and thought it may have been too much. Those wrenches sure scared the crap out of me.

I haven't had a problem with the wrenches but I normally didn't have torque running all the time until now so I will have to see how it plays out. If I do see it I will ping the dev and look for an answer. There are some issues with certain bluetooth implementations on some phones but of course it could be a torque issue. The drive home today is the first time I had this app running.

There is a thread somewhere saying nothing should ever be left in the ODBII port while running on our trucks for whatever reason, even those car insurance things.... Read it long ago, only thing keeping me from giving this a go....

I've had a Scanguage plugged in for over a year with no issues.

The only issue of leaving stuff plugged into OBDII is that some things drain the battery. So you could end up with a dead battery if the truck isn't driven much.

I thought about maybe updating the firmware on my MX OBDLink adapter to see if that makes a difference. I might try to play around and see how things go.

How do you get this to display on your screen?

If you have the obd2 for aa app installed and torque pro then all you need to do is touch the far right button in AA in the truck(not on your phone) The menu that used to only have 'Return to Sync' now also has an option for OBD2AA
