The new Raptor is a beautiful truck and its new engine really out does the 6.2 it replaced but omg that awful V-6 sound coming from such a powerful truck.

Sounds like a high schooler's Civic with $50 "full exhaust" upgrade. Disappointing. 😔

I don't think it sounded that bad - I think the microphone in the recording device was over driven and added noise and such to the audio.

Still pretty impressive performance - and it will only improve with time.

I don't think it sounds bad at all. Maybe I am in the minority, but I could care less about the number of cylinders as long as it performs as intended.

The performance and comparison data speaks for itself. Sound isn't a measure of speed or performance. All of that in a package that is lighter than the previous year Raptor. You say disappointing, I say damn impressive.
