Next generation will probably have Handles on both sides??

Ummm, my 2011 has the handle on the left side...?? Its where it should be as most ideal for a right handed person, unless interchangeable would be ideal.

The competition probably already has some alternatives on the drawing board...tail gate escalator anyone?

i jump in and out of my truck bed a lot as I use it for deliveries. I thought about this and opted against it for a few reasons:
1. I think it's probably going to break sooner or later. Even with warranty repairs, it's inevitable that it will break again and I will be mad because of it.
2. I find it ugly and flimsy
3. the grab handle is in the way of unloading materials

I find it useful for older people who need to get in ever so often. This should make the truck more appealing to them.

Very interesting,

My 2012 FX-4 was on the Right.
I will have to look at my 2014 Lariat.
I've never use it. Won't say I will never, but it came with the Truck.
You guys are driving me crazy.
Lot of new things to learn for an Old guy.

I can see how the handle would be in the way for unloading ect. I do not go into the bed often but the few times i have i was glad to have the step/handle, much better then the old way of climbing in causing a sore knee and hoping the rest of the neighborhood did not see my butt crack.

My handle is on the left side. I don't use it often but sure like it when I do use it.

I never use the handle. I always use the step, especially since my truck is lifted. Very nice feature to have

Most people are right handed. You're more likely to fall going down steps rather than up steps so they put it on the left side for better support climbing down (unless you're left handed.)
