Default Need tire suggestions

My '17 XLT Sport FX4 has the OEM 18" wheels with the Wrangler 275/65-18 tires, and they're awful. A lot of road noise, can't get them properly balanced, grip sucks... And I only have 1800 miles on the truck. Yes, they've been checked, rotated, road force balanced, etc. with no changes.

I am not interested in upgrading my wheels anytime soon and would like to stick with the OEM tire size as stated above. I want tires that are great in all types of weather, don't suck up MPG's on the highway like genuine off road tires do, and are comfortable and quiet.

Let me see what you got to suggest!

I'd say the Cooper ATP LT275/70r18 is a good choice. I know you want to match the 275/65r18 but that tire is only $202 at Discount Tire. My 2009 had the LT285/70r17 version of that tire, which was the same price at the time and not only was it the largest tire that's DT would install on the 17"x7.5" OE wheels at the time but they looked bad ***. I got many compliments, they were way quieter than the Nitto Terra Grapplers I had on it previously, and much better grip than the Michelin LTX AT/2 tires that came with the truck.

When my Hankooks wear down, guess what tire I'm buying?

Surprisingly, the stock Hankooks that came on mine are really nice. If you go a different route and choose an all terrain, as an example, the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 is a great tire!

OP, there are a few different Wranglers out there, which ones do you have?
Mine came with Handycaca's on it, Hankooks, the AT type, don't recall the actual designation. They don't seem like a bad tire, just an embarrassing name, but still better than Kumho!!!

Dynapro AT M, that's what they are.

Guessing he has adventures, i had the fortitudes on mine, they were great on dry and wet pavement, I actually missed them when i went to an A/T tire and would spin tires in the wet, even with barely any throttle.

Hmm, if that's the case, I don't know what to say. I figured he had those junk SRA's.

The Cooper ATP is a great tire for the price! I put them on my F150 and my company truck. Really quiet, smooth, and hold up well on some pretty bad lease roads.
