GMC to Ford

I apologize for posting another tow mirror question, but the search feature really sucks on this site. I am installing the chrome tow mirrors on my truck this week. I would like to replace the chrome caps with paint to match caps. However, I cannot seem to locate a part number for a pre-painted factory cap or the right part number for one that can be painted.

Can anyone provide a part number for painted or paint to match? The help is greatly appreciated.

Tow mirror skull caps are not available pre-painted or PTM.

You can either smooth the finish on the black textured caps or sand smooth the chrome caps.

I was wondering that too. Surprised the aftermarket hasn't jumped on that yet.

I've been researching this a lot. There is no prepainted cap. You would need to get your caps painted. I've been trying to figure out if the super duty caps will work on our trucks but so far it seems the answer is no. They are completely different part numbers.

It looks like you went the route of sanding smooth. I got the painted idea from your picture, but could not recall whose truck.
