Need opinion on coil overs
I am getting ready to order my coil overs and I can't decide between Icon, Fox , or F150 lifts. I know the height difference between them. I would like peoples opinions of them that have them. I would like the good and bad thoughts.

I went with the Bosses because I wanted to set them to gain at least 3" of lift and I felt that the Foxes, Bilsteins, & Icons would be closer to the maximum extended limit at that setting. Being as the Bosses are almost 2" longer than the others I felt the Bosses would be more in the middle of the travel range and not be the limiting factory in travel. Let me find a post I did a while back.

I went with the f150lift boss coil overs kit and I wouldn't do anything different. I have it set at 3 in the front and a 2.5 inch rear block. The rear end is about 3/4 inch higher, just for towing a boat and stuff. I love it, Alex also powder coated the springs candy blue to match my truck. The ride is better to me also.

If you'll never see off-road, you probably don't need the coilovers unless you just feel like spending extra money. If you're just after leveling, a 1.5"-2.5" spacer would be just fine.

I have the Boss kit as well, very happy with the firmer ride and better cornering. I lowered mine to 2.5" because I felt it would be easier on my CV joints and the steering column was creaking a little in parking lots when everything was set up at 3". I have the 2.5" block in the back which netted me an 1.25" rear end lift. Pretty close to level and good lift, yup I'm happy.

I don't want to just do a level because I want the better ride and handling. No matter what I was gonna change the rear shocks anyway and raise it a little. So I figured I might as well do it all.

My old set up was "the best" according to hundreds of internet 'gurus' but the ride was much more stiff than stock and after 6 years, I was so sick of the rough ride that I got rid of it.
From CV joints at bad angles, drive shaft angles being off, vehicle shuddering upon take off, ball joint issues, having to have the shocks rebuilt every 50k miles, etc... you really need to make sure that you get what you want.
I'm not sure you will have better ride and handling if you go with a suspension lift vs. having blocks added, but you should drive all of the set ups to make an informed decision.
The best thing might be to set up a local "2015 F-150 Day" and invite other truck owners in your area to come out, talk about the trucks, share their mod experiences, etc... I did this with an old Infiniti G35C and ended up starting a car club. We held 'Mod Days' and dyno days, we ended up playing poker, went out for dinner and drinks, it grew to quarterly car shows, etc... You'll end up having others perform mods, being able to compare what you like and then make wise purchases.
That's my 2 cents...

You cannot have a better ride and handling. Handling comes from a stiffer ride. The best ride will come from the factory spring rate.
