Mystery- small metal objects sitting in cowl
While drying the truck off last night I came across two small metal pieces sitting on the cowl near where the wiper arm attaches. I've washed the truck dozens of times and dried that area every time so I'm certain they weren't there before. I recently had the truck to the dealership for an oil change and had them try and figure out why the engine doesn't idle smooth so it seems as though they've left these things there. For the life of me I can't picture what these would be. Any ideas? BTW they didn't resolve the idle issue this trip same as the past 1/2 dozen times I've had the truck in for rough idle. Truck is a '15 Lariat 3.5 EB.

Howdy.
Those are the keys fer the wiper arms.
Put 'em back in.

The last post in this thread shows it is not required...just there for the assembly line.
I think you will have no problems as long as the locking tab (seen in the photos pictured above) has been put into the 'locking' position properly.

Just found both of mine beneath each wiper.
I think I'll just glue mine back in place.
I doubt you really need them. I've never had them on any other vehicle.
