Also, I think the IPC direction going back and forth is unrelated to this as I parked a on an angle to see if I could get it to make it change between to directions (n or nw) and it did with either antenna hooked up. So i'm thinking the roads that I notice that on are on an angle that makes the compass go back and forth.

The FORScan Guy
Looked into this further and it does look like the roof antenna does not work for the '15. When I put the APIM into diagnostics mode there is no GPS signal with the spliter. But then I put the aftermarket one on and it shows a signal. Still weird that I drove all around this evening with the no GPS icon and it did routes no problem. I'm wondering if the APIM stores data around the current GPS location. Guess I didn't drive far enough.

I think i8iridium is right about the '16+ having multiple frequencies in the GPS roof antenna

quick question...
I took the mounting brackets off the MFT sync 2 screen. I seen that some people had to modify the brackets to work, but mine seem to mount up directly to the Sync 3 screen with no issues. Can anyone else confirm this is possible? Maybe my old MFT was a later build and the brackets are more standard into the sync 3 switch over.
Thanks

the signal strength pop up is completely blank when using the splitter with the factory '15 antenna. but when I put the aftermarket one in. it will show like 10 bars for different satellites.
