My replacement truck
As some of you may remember, two weeks ago my 2013 Lariat was totaled…I received insurance money which was more than I expected to replace the vehicle with something. Anyway, today I picked it up from a really nice Ford dealer in Oregon, Ohio (near Toledo). I had to fly to Detroit from Los Angeles to check it out, test drive it, etc. Anyway, it’s exactly what I was looking for! A ‘17 Lariat with pretty much everything except for the auto park feature as far as I know.. it’s got the huge moon roof, and so many more features over what my 13 had.. it behaves Soo much better than my 13 which had just shy of 200k miles before it was clobbered.
So, here’s a picture or two of it I took while getting gas late this morning before heading out of town to start the long (2200 mile) trek home.. the last was taken a bit ago in the dark.. I REALLY love the lighting in this thing!! Such a well engineered truck.. at least what I’ve found so far.. oh yeah, it had 20k miles on it...
i put a bit over 500 miles on it while driving thru : Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and I’m in Missouri right now... yes, I’m making some stops on my way, hence my odd path...

I forgot to say… That in the gas consumption so far, I’m getting just over 20 miles per gallon which is considerably better than my 13 was getting…
