I painted them myself. Not to hard to complete and I love being different lol

I test drove both the Eco and the 5.0, and as much as I loved my 2011 I wasn't impressed with the ecoboost in the 2015. Maybe I had gotten too familiar with the power of my ecoboost from the tune and exhaust, but it felt sluggish compared to the 5.0 IMO. You really had to get into the throttle to get it to move. I'm sure it's going to be impressive with upgrades, I was just very impressed with the 5.0 from the get go. The power was very strong and linear, wasn't a light switch like the eco.

As for the truck and my driving experience so far, all I can tell you is WOW! The truck rides so much smoother than my 2011. My 11 was a 6.5' bed, and that may be part of the difference, but the 15 feels much more firm through the corners, with little to no body roll. Driving into parking lots with the small curb inclines is so smooth. You can literally feel the frame being a more rigid design than the previous generation.

The attention to detail is amazing. It's funny because when I test drove it I was telling my salesmen that it was like a luxury car and a truck had a baby, because the interiors are so detailed and amazing. Then I read someone on here say the same thing about the interior feeling like a luxury car. So far I'm very impressed with all the features. The push button start is probably one of my favorites, and I'm honestly amazed how by how much I use the remote tailgate opening feature.

As I get more drive time I'll post some more reviews on how everything is going. But as for now I can't stop smiling everytime I'm driving this thing!

Thursday she's going in for tint on the front windows, and I'll be ordering some floormats. Whats everyones experience on weathertech vs husky liner?

Hey man, great looking truck! I actually just posted to your old trucks thread. Now that you have had both, would you mind doing a short review of what it is like to drive the 6.5 bed vs the 5.5 bed?? I'm trying to pick and I'm stuck! I have two 2015 sports in order that are identical minus their bed sizes.

Hey Gurz38,

To give you an honest answer, I have no idea how they will compare. I only say that because everything I've read about the new gen compared to the old us that the new frame is more stable, so what I felt in my old truck could be because of the frame and not the bed length.

With that said, my 5.5' bed is much nicer when hitting bumps and different things at different angles. Most notable is when I'm pulling into a business and have to come over a curb or bump and I'm still turning. My old truck would have a lot of body roll where my new one is more rigid and responsive. Same with highway driving through higher speed corners, the new truck has less body roll. That could be a difference in tire size though as well. Obviously turning radius is much nicer with the shorter bed, but the 6.5 never caused me any problems. I do miss my 6.5' bed when hauling a load or my bike. I think you'll be perfectly happy with either without any major problems. The 6.5' bed looks better on the new generation then it did on the old gen in my opinion as well. Just ask yourself what you use your truck for? Is it for daily driving and you don't haul much in your bed, or do you haul lots of stuff in your bed? If you're like me and use it as a daily driver/baby transporter and occasionally haul supplies for the home improvement projects I'd go 5.5'.

There is a panel you take off with torx bits, and it gives you full access to inside the tailgate, then you pop the clips down and push fairly hard cause the double sided tape is strong. That's for the main Ford logo. All the other emblems on the tailgate are just double sided tape.

Yeah when I bought my truck back in April they told me it would be late summer or fall for the 15. So I started measuring the exhaust off my buddies 13 and it was almost identical to the 15, so I ordered one of the kits for the old gen. Only issue I ran into is the tips rubbing the hitch, but it's an easy fix at a muffler shop
