Default My First ecoboost, 2019 SXT

STX! I was dyslexic on the title but could not edit it ...Sold my 2010 F150 with the 5.4l and bought this 2019 STX last weekend. I was looking to buy a Coyote being a V8 guy, However This 2019 was the only SXT on the lot and really like the color matched bumpers. Was disappointed at first that it was a 2.7 V6 eco, but after the test drive between a 5.0 and this 2.7, I have to say I was surprised how much power the eco had. I have to say I was anti v6 turbo in a pick up but after driving it and pulling my boat with it I am a believer .. My wife is insisting on running boards I'm going to look for some that don't stand out so much, any sugestions?

welcome, sharp looking truck. I actually traded my 5.0 truck in on a 2.7 and havent looked back. As for running boards take a look at these. They match the color of the truck

FL3Z-16450-MC

magnetic gray, 5'' angular step. Same boards that are on my truck except mine are for a supercab

I like how the stx grill looks, it reminds me of a GMC truck. I also had 5.0 stx f150 that got totaled out, and now have 3.5 eco boost platinum, But still like the 5.0 better.

Nice looking truck.

I wish my 18 came with the 19's wheels. The dark spokes look awesome.

Love the STX package! I think some 3" black nerf bars would look understated while also being highly functional.

I just bought my 2015 about 4 days ago and I was completely floored by the power, acceleration and so far, great gas mileage of the 2.7. I have been a V8 truck guy pretty much all my adult life and would have NEVER thought or, even looked at a v6 in a full size.

I bought the truck thinking I had the 3.5 in because the salesman mentioned it AND the way it performed on the test drive. When I got under the hood and really started studying the next day and saw it was actually a 2.7, I shocked.

Congrats on the new truck! I would have never considered a 2.7 until I test drove one. I need to be more open-minded, it was surprisingly good.

As for running boards that don't stick out, you may consider the AMP retractable. Also, Ford offers retractable running boards as an option if you want them dealer installed. Typically, the retractable boards come with "puddle lights", so that adds a wiring job to the hardware installation. If your wife sees this in action, she's going to insist. Happy Valentines

I have these on my truck, very similar to OEM, aluminum, rated for 400 lbs., and reasonable in price. Mine are black powdercoat.

If you do eventually get running boards, I highly recommend mud flaps behind the front tires. I had to do this on my work truck because the mud was piling up on the boards which in turn would get my pants dirty or my shoes full of mud.
