This photo shows how much they tuck. i searched for wheels but decided to keep the stock ones since they are nicer than anything aftermarket. desert dawg pointed me in the direction of Fred Goeske spacers, which are timken steel and incredibly strong. since they are steel, and not aluminium, you can actually torque them properly to wheel specific torque specs. i put a simular set on my mom cayenne S and they have been worry free for 80k miles. the spacers are 1.5", and should bring the tires dead flush with the fender flares

These are 305's on a factory wheel with 1.5" spacers on my 2012. Yours will probably sit in a little closer due to the narrower tire. Maybe about 3/8"

Thanks. In using a Canon 40d with a 17-85 mm is usm lense and a polarizer. Taking photos in the right light is a huge part of the equation as well. I am not a professional photographer, I'm actually a residential home builder, but thank you for the compliment. I just enjoy taking photos and sharing with you guys online.

Lol we could start a whole new 20 page thread on break in...
Im in the the "middle ground" camp when it comes to break in. I do believe there needs to be a break in and it's important. The main things about break in is that you don't want to go to either extreme. Don't baby it and don't drive it like you stole it. The engines needs to be put under load with some frequent but moderate acceleration. The biggest thing is: don't drone along at one speed on the highway during break in. I drive mine like a yo-yo on the highway during break in. Always changing speeds and giving it plenty of acceleration and deceleration.
I do this with all my new trucks and motorcycles.

I've known guys who are part of the drive em like you stole em camp. It's obvious that their motors break in VERY strong. But I can't speak for long term reliability. While guys that baby them just don't get as strong a motor and tend to burn oil down the road. I've had a few dozen new cars and bikes over the years and from my experiences, this is true and nothing will ever change my mind in the subject.
As for your 5.0 / 3.73 combo. Please let us know how it does once you are able to REALY put the screws to it.
Should be a running SOB with the improved power, lower gearing and less weight.
