Wow, I would estimate he smacked you at 40MPH, almost but not quite as ripped apart as mine was at 47MPH. He still has most of the front end attached! Looks like the topper survived though, and is that a bedrug you have? Are you going to get another truck with the same size bed so you can reuse it?

It also looked like the back of the cab is rippled, or is that just a bad reflection?

Not to be an ***.... It was clearly the other guys fault no matter what... but why do you stop so many car lengths away from the stopped traffic in front of you?

The other driver may well have seen the huge gap and assumed you were still moving forward and so he didn't start breaking accordingly.

Now he obviously should have been paying enough attention to get stopped in time without any trouble... no argument.... just an observation.

Yeah, I've heard of frames being replaced too - stumbled across this picture a little while back - it's kind of neat how they can lift the whole body up to do work.

It cracked the cap by the left side by the door and bent the lower frame of the camper. Yes, the back of the cab was damage.

I can reuse the bed rug. If the cap had of made it I would have had it repainted. lol

Just for reasons like what happened. It kept me off the vehicle in front of me.

I hope they give you near full value for the topper. They were only going to give me $200 for mine, and it wasn't damaged. Dealing with insurance sucks. If they lowball you, the topper can be repaired and repainted, so don't give up on it.

The camper in the wreck was new from August. The original leaked so bad that ARE couldn't repair it so the replaced it. I'll put it on a trailer and bring it home before they get it for nothing.

That's been the norm for yrs.
Here is a pic 1994 T/A , had to drop the front sub-frame to pull motor and trans.

In this video when he walks through the shop (2:03 mark) you see a truck off the frame on the lift in the background.

Also, where the new truck is coming from. ^^^
