My vent was in place and leaked with every rain storm, the dealer replaced the vend 4 times and had the truck for 70+ days... I now have a new F150 and no leaks... good luck getting it fixed, they couldnt do it on my 2015 and when they lemon law kicked in i got the 17 and have not had an issue yet

here is a video

Looks like mine is coming in around the rear window. Just sprayed it down with a water hose and found the insulation on the back wall wet. Guess I'll be going into the dealership Monday morning.

How are you guys testing to see if water is coming in from around the 3rd brake light? After a good rain this past weekend, i got in the truck and noticed it had a bad musty smell. This morning i sprayed the roof an see that water is leaking in through the double pain moonroof, into that gutter but i don't know where the water is going from there. I also wanted to see if water was coming in from the 3rd brake light or somewhere else in the back of the cab. When i flip the rear seat down, i have the sub and all back there and so i wasn't sure if i was going to have to take all of that out to try and figure out if its leaking in other places other than the sunroof.

I don't know for sure if they still have the same issue but my 2008 Fusion and 2010 F-150 had a problem with mold growing in the vents of the AC evaporator creating a musty smell. I act had to have the dash removed in my Fusion and had the evaporator replaced because of it. As I stated, I don't know that the specific problem still exists in the newer model trucks.

Mine has started getting this smell after a rain. How do you fold the back seat back rest down? I was going to check the back of the cab around the window area. I can pull the single seat back rest down but there's not a pull tab for the other two seats to come down (super crew rear bench).

After giving the truck a good wash, my son noticed that the rear passenger seatbelt was soaked when he pulled the strap to buckle in. Somehow water was getting into the assembly; rear window? Maybe check the belts as well for the source of the smell.

2015 XLT SCREW - I noticed wet carpet after heavy rains under my weather techs on the driver side. Turns out it was a body seal and a pretty intensive repair, but covered completely by warranty.

Front or back driver side? It was leaking through the floor? I'll have to check mine later.

I have this issue as well. If it rains and it sits in the sun for a few days it is horrible. I do not have the moonroof or sliding window. I'll check behind the seats and the floorboards.

madmatt83 - Mine was on the front driver side. It was coming through the roof, running down the body between the front windshield and door, and collecting under my floor mats. There was no water on top of my mats which is why I originally thought it would be coming from the vents or floor.
