Mustang GT Appearance & Coil Covers Added
I added the 2015 Mustang appearance and coil covers to my '16. I have seen the '11-14 GT covers put on the '11-14 F150's, but not the '15 cover on the newer style intake that the '15 and 16's have. I'm sure someone must have done this before, but I couldn't find any post or images of it being done. So here is something to refer to if you are looking at doing this to your '15 or '16. This is the "first draft", so I will be going back and cleaning up the edges that were cut away for clearance and see how my mounting holds up.

Nice! I've got coil covers but want the engine cover too if it'll work. Curious to see how much cutting/modding you'll have to do.

I used a Dremel with the Roto-Zip bit attachment to remove material, and a selection of files to clean up the edges. Blue painters tape and a Sharpie are a real help here. On the '11-14 cover projects there seemed to be a lot of work rerouting coolant and vacuum hoses. My goal was to fit the cover and disturb as little as possible. I did add a 24" loop of 3/8 vacuum hose and a 3/8-3/8 male barb fitting to the lines on the driver's side near the brake booster.
The '11-'14 cover mates to the matching rubber insulators placed into the intake plenum of the Mustang and the F150. The '15 cover has the same feature, but there are not matching locating recepticals for the insulators on the '15-'16 F150 plenum.
I purchased 4 insulators from Tasca Ford (BR3Z-9P686-A). When I discovered the '16 F150 plenum would not mount the cover as expected I had to punt. Using materials on site, I made four 1 3/4" long pieces of 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC and placed the insulators on them for locating feet. The cover rests on the plenum runners and these locating feet. To insure the cover stays in place I used 8 pieces of Industrial Strength Extreme Velcro, one on each plenum runner. This is not how I envisioned mounting this, but it works and was inexpensive. Perhaps another forum member will come up with a more elegant solution.

Passenger side above.
Driver's side above.

The fitting and hose to the driver's side valve cover was rubbing here. You may not have to cut this out. Save it for the end of the project.
Driver's side above. Vacuum line opening.
Passenger side above. Heater hoses go here.
