Default MPG '15EB SCREW -- less than 13MPG

So, I've had my truck for 45 days now, and I'm almost at 1500 miles. LOVE MY NEW F150..... however

My truck has been getting 12-12.8 MPG. I have the 3.5 EcoBoost with the 3.31. I do ALL city driving in/around Atlanta traffic, mostly during rush hour.

Of note, when I bought my truck, driving it off the lot the check engine light came on, and the techs said I had a vacuum leak and fixed it immediately.

I had a 2010 with the 5.4 I traded in, same driving style and I was getting 15 MPG with the old engine? I dont get on it often, but I do drive in the fast lane a lot.

Is this an expected MPG for this truck?

It's gotta be all that bumper-to-bumper traffic.

I have a Lariat Screw with 3.5EB and 3.55 gears, and average 17.9mpg for the life of the truck (11.5K miles).

fill it up and hit the highway for an hour or so at 65 to see what that gets you.

Either something is wrong with your truck, or you're driving it hard.

I had a Marietta to Alpharetta commute for a week and even took it to lunch every day (short, stop and go trips) and my 3.5EB, 4x4, w/ 3.55s still got almost 19mpg.

That's what traffic does, not only suck your gas, it drains your soul!

Yep, time to test it in a different condition.

You should be able to get 18-19 easily. I pulled 22.8 calculated by hand, out of my last tank, but that's babying it.

bumper-to-bumper traffic "in the fast lane" (slightly aggressive driver? ), I can see that...

Less than 1000 miles on our 2.7 SCREW and the wife called excited that with a fully loaded bed with a bunch of tool chests and welder etc, she was getting 27MPG by calculation and by computer. I was averaging 29MPG over 100 mile RT with cruise control set at 60.

The disappointment here is he was getting 15 with his '10 5.4! Same driving conditions. I'd be disappointed too. He has a comparison.
