I picked mine up yesterday for moonroof trouble. It was binding hard on the back edge of the roof and violently releasing when opening -- Enough to vibrate the roof. The tech wasn't able to resolve the problem by following the wsm. (I don't know if it was the procedure posted here or not) He looked at other trucks on the lot and adjusted the glass to match them and the problem was resolved. Hopefully it won't leak. If it does, I'll take it back

I recently replaced the arms on my panoramic sunroof front glass panel. I need to make sure the panel is aligned correctly now it is back in place.

Thanks to those who posted the font sliding glass panel alignment procedure pdf further back up the thread.

Evidently the front of the panel should be either level with or 1mm maximum lower than the metal roofline at the front of the vehicle.

The rear of the panel should be either level with or 1mm maximum higher that the rear stationary flat panel glass.

But other than saying "loosen the retainers and adjust the panel" the document does not say how to achieve the tolerances.

Is there any guidance on the best way achieving this?

Thanks,

ft.

PS. A couple people discussed further back that the front panel procedure states that the concertina roof opening panel blinds blinds need to be discarded during this process.
In my experience of replacing the broken sunroof arms it was trivial to replace the existing blinds after removal. I have not yet experienced anything negative about re-using the old blinds.
It's easier to remove and replace the blinds with the roof in the raised position.
