Default Mirrors Adjusting on Their Own

So, I started my truck with the remote start today, and while I was putting my son in the back seat, I heard some popping. I noticed the power mirrors, both of them, were adjusting themselves. The popping was like you were still holding down the button to adjust your mirror, even though it's adjusted to the max, in one direction. I have never seen this before, and it was also after the engine had been running for about 3 minutes. It can't be good for the mirrors. Anybody else experienced this?

Do you have a memory setting which the mirrors are included along with seats and steering wheel?

I had that same issue the day after I bought my truck. I had no idea what was going on. All i could hear was a popping noise and then noticed the mirrors auto adjusted all the way down. Only lasted for about 10 seconds. Hasn't done it again since.

Had a similar noise when I power folded my mirrors for a truck wash and the towel guys repositioned them manually. When I hit the power fold button they "clicked" like you described until they were "sync'ed" again.

Happened to me. It was a faulty key fob. The stored mirror/seat locations were not transferring properly.

This has happened to me several times. The first time, I though someone messed with my mirror when I was at the store. Most recent time, I got in my truck, started it, and the passenger side mirror started adjusting all the way down.

My xlt has done this too, 3 times now I have found my mirrors out of position, this is clearly a glitch somewhere in these trucks. What can we do about it?
