I believe it is possible. I will have to test it out beforehand, but I will definitely let you know. Firerunner and others did the Blinker Genie for their mirrors and that's where I got the idea. I'm not sure if you saw that thread or not, but the Blinker Genie is just a little wiring and uses your current LEDs (noninvasive). So, the amber stays on with the parking lights and then blinks with the turn signal. In Firerunner's application, it matches his front turn signals. I have switchbacks in my front turns so this would not work for me. I want everything to match (you know how I am. Lol.) so I will be cutting open my mirror blinker and adding the switchback LED strip. I will post up here when it is done and I will add it to my build thread. I hope to start on this tomorrow.

That'll work Dewey, thanks! Ya, I did that Blinker Genie as well, and really like it. I noticed that with the lights on, depending on the angle you look at the mirror, the light is white. Might be the angle of the reflector and lens that does that. Really look forward to what you come up with.

John, I tested it this morning and this will not work. Amber takes over through the control box. It is specifically designed for white on and amber blinking. I tried to wire it backwards where amber was on and the white never would come through as the blinker. It's in wiring or programming inside the metal sealed control box. Sorry bud.

A little update: I got one blinker open. It's ugly as all hell but I'm not worried about how the back looks. I just need enough on the back to be able to seal it back up.
