Did you add those flat connectors to the end of your wires? I just looked at my kit and it’s just soldered ends. Not sure if that will be rigged enough to jam down in there?
Ok just did the mirror tap on my 18 Limited and it went very smooth: The Black wire is your (HOT) and the Green is the (GROUND) and it comes on when you turn the truck on and Off when truck is off!! The detector DOES NOT go off when you go into reverse as I have heard around here, at least not mine!!
What mount are you using? Is is just the suction cup mount? I like how you have it tucked so close to the mirror.
Had to transfer my Beltronics R65 from the 2015 XLT S'Crew that I hardwired into the overhead console, ..., to my new 2018 Lariat S'Crew, ..., & tapped into the mirror connector this time.
