This module would work well for what you guys are trying to do. I used these on my Anzo's to make the ambers lights work as the parking and signal lights.
I ordered a set of these last week and got them yesterday. Less than 5 minutes after USPS dropped them off I was on the phone and sending an email. 1 of them came broke, 1 of the wires is completely missing.
I know this thread is old but I wanted to give a huge thanks to @lampy4150 and everyone else who figured out the wiring.
I just recently modded my mirror blinkers with a switchback LED strip. The white is on with my running lights at night and the amber takes over when I use my turn signal. The problem I was having was getting my blinkers to work without the lights on. Thanks to this diagram and @Firerunner , I was able to get this mod working correctly.

You baked the lights to her them apart? What temp and how long?
I just installed the blinker genie 2, it works great. I ordered the 8 to 22 and the inverse (22 to 8) connectors plus about 10 extra pins and made a plug n play connector.
