Mirror Blinkers Mod

Yup, that is my plan. I'm getting my parking power from the splice I already made from the front perimeter amber ring for my Raptor grill light. I will splice that and run it through the firewall grommet to the cabin, to the doors.

Maybe it's me but I can't get these things to work. When I hook them up my blinker will not work unless my parking lights are on. Then I read below the schematic " Allows you to use your parking lights to act as a turn signal." What I'm trying to accomplish is having a turn signal act as a parking light. I don't want the mirror to have a parking light on in the daytime only when my headlights come on.

Just did this mod...door panels off for 3rd time.
maybe i missed it...but I haven't seen anywhere posted in this thread to use the existing Blue/Gray parking light circuit CLS05 that exists from the BCM to the door connectors, but for me not in the doors themselves. I simply added pigtail male pins to the door side connectors on C510-B11 driver side and C610 - B8 passenger side, ran the wire up to the mirror 8 pin connector on mine and then put in diodes/resistor as documented.
This is the same reason the telescoping mirrors mod works if you also replace the door wiring harness...the body side has this circuit, but door harness doesn't.
Sorry i don't know the pig tail part numbers...the ones i used where scavenged from a junkyard...i got really tired of trying to order these pig tails for various mods. junkyard was much quicker, and only a couple dollars for various cutoff connectors to scavenge pins from.
Using this circuit was nice and clean, as i didn't run any wires up to the door connector from anywhere else in the truck (serious hassle). So, all i did was in door wiring modifications. As on my ambient install, these damn door connectors are still a pain to deal with...but much easier this time around.

If it could be done with bus CAN data to the door modules (i assume this is what you mean by scanner)...why would the telescoping need that wire?
So, switch out the door wiring harness and door modules to 20 pin versions...then make a 20 pin to 8 pin adapter to the existing mirrors....then maybe it works, probably not.
Lot more money and work to do than this simple mod on existing cheap mirrors.
if your going to do all that, i would think you would update the mirror with spots and puddles as well.
That then becomes the other thread on swapping mirrors.
