So that act as marker lamps AND blinkers.

To have them run as marker lights. Like every other truck mirrors! Lol the tow mirrors do it, also the superduty mirrors

My guess would be to wire them to a switched (keyed) constant on, but in such a way that it's wired to the stock blinker circuit, so when you're turn signals are on, a transistor would shut off power to the constant on mod.

Edit: I'll see if I can make some kind of schematic.

Ok, so I made this schematic, and I believe it should work and do the trick! Uses only 8 components to do the job: 4 transistors and 4 resistors.

Most of that is above my head. The more I think about it I can't help but wonder if there's an easier option... I wonder because my mirrors currently have puddle lights, spot lights, and blinkers. The factory tow mirrors do have the marker lights when lights are on (as we're trying to replicate).

I wouldn't think Ford has different wiring in the truck depending on which type of mirror is installed on it, would they? Does this help anybody with more knowledge of this type of thing than me think of any other options?

Maybe I'm oversimplifying...

wire them directly to tap off the front turn signals. They're on as parking lights when the lights are on, and flash when the signal's activated.

How would they blink if they have constant +12V when the lights are on? I don't understand how that would work unless the lights are off... which defeats the mod. Right?

My thoughts exactly what wolfewl said, you need some switching device (either mechanical, or transistors) to do it. My schematic is the solution.

How do any running lights blink when the flasher is activated?

It may be necessary to tailor this solution to the F150, but things like this have been implemented in a wide variety of vehicles for many, many years.

A version here with relays, probably could be adapted:

I don't doubt that! I just don't understand much of what I'm looking at and surely not how to implement it. LOL

I'm back to my question though... A new '15 with tow mirrors has this. What makes the tow mirrors function different than the one's I have in respect to the marker lights? Is it something inside the mirror? That would mean everything as far as power requirements (switched +12V when lights on, blinker, etc) is already there, correct?
