Yes you are correct. In MFT you can select which of the paired phones you want to set as the primary.

BlackBoost, thanks for another suggestion. I've never been too happy with the call quality of those standalone "clip on" BT devices. But maybe they've improved, since I haven't used one in a few years.

What type of device is each phone? Both Android, both iPhone, one of each, etc? I have a similar issue and might have a solution but I need to test.
