Default Meguiar's Quik Wax feels like cheating

This stuff literally goes on and then disappears with one wipe. Not sure how it holds up yet, but my goodness, I might actually wax my truck more than once every 5 years.

Yup, I used 2 coats of it, yesterday! It was nice, not to spend an entire day waxing a vehicle. Especially a CrewCab F150.

As technology gets better, why shouldnt something like waxing a new truck!
Now a older vehicle, with contaminents in the paint, thats another story!

If yours came off in one wipe, you maynot have shaken the bottle. Or the time for the wax to Haze over. Not that its difficult to remove the Meguiars Quik Wax, but it took me more than slightly one wipe.

I also noticed, the bottle says you can wax while the vehicle is still wet. I havent tried that option.

Thanks. I shook it in the store on the way to the counter, to kind of get anything that was sitting too long mixed up. Then before doing it, I shook it every which way you can imagine.

I normally just do my hood, but after doing my hood I just kept going. 12 minutes later I had done the whole truck. I don't know what to say about ease of removing. I used the wet side to apply, and had the cloth folded in four. Then flipped to the dry side and that was that. I kept looking back over the paint from every angle and there was no residue or streaking.

I tested it on my passenger side window to see how it does on glass, and it was a bit tougher to get off there. Maybe it's that the magnetic (gray) color of my truck is very forgiving.

I even went over all the chrome and no residue on there.

Which one are you guys using. When I searched Meguiars Quick wax on Amazon, 3 types popped up. Meguiars Ultimate Quick wax (black bottle), Meguiars Quick wax (red bottle), and Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus Premium Quick wax (black bottle)

I like it as a good inbetween my actual waxes. The quick waxes are nice touches after you wash but I don't find they hold up like a regular wax does.

Ahh ...

I used the black bottle.
Todd's was the carnuba one.
Mine is the one that says "Ultimate Quik Wax" and is black.

I have other carnuba spray waxes, but I found them no easier to really apply and wipe off than a standard liquid wax.
This stuff I used today says "Hydrophobic Polymer Technology"

I'm not opposed to carnuba - in fact I think it's a great product. I detailed cars about 18 years ago when I was in high school and that's all we used for wax (of course we had sealants and polishes etc etc as well).

I use ultimate synthetic for my main wax then the ultimate quick wax synthetic(black) for touchups between washes and waxing. the ultimate lasts about 6 months this way. meguires is the best brand I have found. You can get shop quantities at Wash Solutions out of Dallas.
