Exactly lol.

Everyone knows the Ecoboost's don't sound like a V8, and they never will...BUT, it hardly sounds like a lawnmower/ Honda Civic.

The videos KJT posted are pretty good. They definitely sound better than the previous videos.

Beyond the turbos spool, they don't have a good note. I have heard them in person.

Like people have said, get a tune and other mods that will help the Ecos. If you wanted exhaust tone, should have bought the V8. If you wanted towing power then Eco is the choice. Sound or power, that is the choice you make.

Didn't listen to the 2nd one, but that is indeed a v8. Comments say it is a 4.6L which means it is a 2009/10 I guess?

^ My mistake... this kinda sounds like a "ricey" but I would still do this, it still sounds different then stock and may sound better with a tune. I'll tune when my warranty is done. The first vid I posted with the flowmaster sounds strong better then the Maggie, IMO.

A six is always going to sound like a six. A louder exhaust makes it sound like a louder six. And a six sounds nothing like a V8 or a 4 though there are lots of different exhaust notes in 4 cylinder depending on the configuration (V4, I-4, and the firing order).

Personally, I think a performance exhaust on the 3.5 EcoBoost makes it sound like a Porsche with an exhaust. I also owned a K1600GT BMW 6 cylinder bike for several years - sounds a lot like that as well. Like I said, a six will always sound like a six.

You guys saying it sounds like a ricer 4 cyl. are just throwing stones. It sounds nothing like that. It just doesn't sound like a V8.

I got the 3.5EB and have no plans to ever tow with it. The thing is a torque monster.

To me, the EB's sound like a 6cyl BMW with an exhaust. They don't sound terrible, they just sound different to the stereotypical big pickup truck. The guys who are V8 or bust, they will always think the V6's will sound terrible, so there is no point in arguing with them about it. Just get whatever exhaust setup you want and enjoy it.
