Has anyone else had issues with maxtrac? Ever since i installed mine i keep hearing a loud "CLUNK" noise coming from the front end. the noise is mostly when i go over speed bumps or make a turn.
i have the billsteins struts up front. set at top setting. with the lift spindle. I've read a lot of forums and it seems that the guys that went for an aftermarket coil over instead of just the struts; don not have this problem. im wondering if anyone has done this switch.

Check the upper spring seat retaining nut, item 2 in the diagram. Have someone jump on the front bumper or lay on the ground and push up on the front bumper (as if you’re bench pressing it) listen and look at those nuts from above. They likely seemed tight when you assembled the strut on the bench but once you have the truck on the ground and full weight on wheels that’s when the true test comes. After I installed my maxtrac I had to tighten the drivers side a little, but it is exactly the clunking you described. Good luck!

 

Also check to see that your sway bar endlinks are tight and the bushings are not worn/torn.
