I am trying to understand what the value of a Max Trailer Towing Package is. The invoice for a Trailer Tow Package is $824 versus $1,192 for the 'Max' package. What value are you getting for paying more?

The enhanced bumper (part of the Max Tow Pkg) consists of much heavier metal in the structure attaching both the bumper and receiver hitch to the frame. Just look at the thickness of
the safety chain hookups on the receiver hitches of both the standard & enhanced
to see the difference.

Looks good. Excellent approach. We nearly bought an Imagine 2400BH but went with a rockwood mini lite 2509S because of a few features we liked better. This is a good resource, the Grand Design Owners have a good forum too. Check it out if you haven't yet!

If you buy a Max Tow truck do yourself a favor and don’t combine with the FX4 package. Max tow includes the ELD and Gears so you are getting minimum value by adding FX4.

This pretty much sums it up. Max Tow is a Value package in addition to adding a stronger receiver and maximum suspension and steering. The steering gives a somewhat heavier feel to it, which I find I like a lot better than a feather weight steering.

The steering rack is a different ratio. Slower.

Yes, in the sub notes of the Max Tow it states max springs and steering. There is a definite difference between the tow and max tow steering feel. I tend to find it more precise, especially when backing.
